Apart from the fact that the company is based in my favourite city of Vancouver, it has a lot of features which really help me to provide social media service to my clients and to myself.
So I thought I would provide some reasons why I use it, which double up as tips for anybody who wishes to try it out too.
Reason number 1 is that I can manage multiple social media channels from one dashboard.
- HootSuite handles Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Ping, Wordpress, MySpace and Mixi as standard.
- It allows the creation of feeds from blogs to Twitter with ease.
- Now it is supporting external apps that integrate sites like Digg, YouTube, Flickr and several more.
In practice it means that you have the ability to see what's going on around different sites very easily and send the same (or similar messages) to multiple sites in one go.
