Delighted to announce that I am supporting Manu Online with some search engine optimisation and website copy development over the next few weeks.
Manu Online have developed an online ERP application for SME manufacturers and material supply companies. The great thing is that for firms that only need 1 or 2 concurrent user licences the application can be used for free. Even for slightly larger companies it is a very low cost way of getting a sophisticated planning and management system to look after manufacturing, inventory control, sales processing and invoicing.
The field of Saas (software as a services) ERP is developing fast as businesses become used to using web based software. The benefits are that applications like Manu Online can be accessed via internet browsers from pretty much anywhere there is a connection - IT costs and complexity are dramatically reduced reduced This means that providers can concentrate on making their applications work as effectively as possible.

You can check out the blog on the link above but just to paraphrase, the 5 steps are;
- Plan thoroughly. Think about the audience and what you want to say. Consider how much time you really have to update, say, a blog.
- Analyse your website to make sure it says what you do and helps people to make a decision to work with you and get in contact.
- Use email newsletters to maintain a connection with clients and prospects.
- Use appropriate Social Media channels. Consider how your prospects look for information and what they expect to see in different places: LinkedIn is not the same as Facebook. is it.
- Tell your story. Don't just give product specifications or formulaic case studies. Tell the real story of why your latest client bought from you or how you created a new service. It's far more interesting and more compelling too.

Dynistics - Brand new blog and first blog post
Delighted to be helping Dynistics the leading Business Intelligence software company get their message across.
We have just set up the Active in Business Intelligence blog to help the company start to tell some of the stories behind its recent dramatic growth. The company specialises in Active Dashboards that provide a real time graphical display of what's going on in the organisation: sales, production, staff activity - you name it.
Dynistics are a dynamic group of people so there won't be any shortage of things to talk about...must remember to blog the details of their ICT Cluster award last week.
